Atomic Bent 110 GFD: Grateful Dead Special Edition
The Atomic Bent 110 GFD is a unique, special edition ski created through a
collaboration with freeskier, artist, and filmmaker Chris Benchetler. This model pays
tribute to the Grateful Dead, featuring artwork on the topsheet and base inspired by
sixty years of the band’s wild spirit and eclectic energy. The ski’s design draws creative
inspiration from Benchetler’s latest film project, Mountains of the Moon, which serves as
the catalyst for this collaborative piece.
The Bent 110 GFD is engineered for versatility and performance across the mountain.
With enough stability to confidently carve turns in a variety of conditions, it also offers
the float required for exceptional powder performance. As a narrower and more
everyday-oriented version of the Bent Chetler 120, the 110 maintains a playful feel in
deep snow, thanks to the inclusion of HRZN Tech Tip and Tail.
Technical Features:
Dura Cap Sidewall: The ski features a sidewall running from the base to the
topsheet, providing excellent edge grip and a rounded shape that enhances
durability.
HRZN Tech Tip and Tail: A beveled tip and tail increase surface area by 10% for
improved float and playful performance, while also reducing weight.
Light Woodcore: Constructed with a poplar wood core, the Bent 110 GFD
achieves an optimal balance between weight and stability, offering quick
responsiveness from edge to edge without compromising shock absorption.
