Although The Ski Bum welcomes you as a customer, The Ski Bum Inc. reserves the right to decline any transaction for any reason it deems necessary. Gift Card The Ski Bum Gift Cards purchased online at www.theskibum.com can be redeemed as payment for purchases on the website or in any Ski Bum retail store location.
Sales Tax Current tax regulations require The Ski Bum, Inc. to collect sales or use tax for online sales shipped to Pennsylvania where The Ski Bum maintains business operations. Sales tax collections may vary over time as The Ski Bum expands its business to additional states and as sales tax regulations change.
Shipping Shipping Methods All products purchased on theskibum.com will be shipped via FedEx unless otherwise deemed appropriate. At checkout, you will be given three shipping options: Ground, 2nd Day, or Next Day service. Gift Cards will ship via the U.S. Postal Service, unless a shipping upgrade is ordered.
Shipping Information: Orders will generally ship within 5 to 7 business days. All orders are shipped via FedEx. All packages must be sent to a valid street address. Customers are responsible for entering correct ship to addresses. Ship to addresses requiring correction will incur additional charges. Sorry, but at this time, The Ski Bum does not ship internationally. Skis and Snowboards are only available to be shipped FedEx ground. Service Area Upon order approval, The Ski Bum, Inc. will ship to any valid street address within the 48 contiguous United States via FedEx Ground, 2nd Day, or Next Day service. At this time, The Ski Bum cannot accept orders to P.O. Boxes, APO or FPO addresses, or destinations outside of the contiguous 48 United States. Additional Shipping Information
*Due to package size restrictions from FedEx, some large or bulky items (such as travel bags, travel cases), will have an oversize package handling charge applied and are excluded from Free Shipping. Items with oversize handling charges will be clearly indicated in the product description at the product purchase page. The additional charge for oversized items will vary depending on the size and will be combined with the regular shipping fee in the shipping charge box at checkout.
Oversized items are only available for ground shipment to the 48 contiguous states. 2nd Day and Next Day services for oversized items are only available by contacting The Ski Bum and additional charges will apply.
Failed Delivery Attempts: Most of our carriers make three attempts to deliver a package. Packages that contain more than $100 of merchandise will always require a signature; otherwise, it is generally up to the driver's discretion to determine whether a signature is required. If the driver feels it is best to obtain a signature and no one is present to accept the delivery after three attempts, the package will be returned to us.
Recommended Shipping Address: The Ski Bum recommends shipping to a location where someone will be available to receive the delivery, such as a business address. The Ski Bum cannot be responsible for packages delivered to unattended addresses.
Transit Times: The amount of time an order is in-transit from the time it leaves The Ski Bum will depend on where it is being shipped and the type of service utilized.
Ground Services: Orders requesting UPS Ground are shipped Monday - Friday and will typically leave our warehouse 24 to 48 hours from the time your order is placed. FedEx Ground orders received on Friday - Sunday will usually ship the following Monday. Ground deliveries should arrive 1-7 days after leaving The Ski Bum.
Next Day and 2nd Day Services: Orders requested via FedEx Next Day should arrive the next business day (excluding weekends) after leaving The Ski Bum. Orders sent via FedEx 2nd Day should arrive within 2 business days from the date of shipment. FedEx guarantees on-time delivery for these services subject to their terms and conditions.
Orders must be placed by 12:00 noon (CT) Monday-Friday to be eligible for that day's Next Day or 2nd Day shipments. Orders placed over the weekend will not be shipped until Monday. Please take this into consideration when using these services.
The Ski Bum makes its best efforts to meet the timing requested for delivery. However, if the requested timing is not met, the customer's remedies are limited to the guarantee provided by FedEx, a refund of freight charges, and/or the opportunity to return the purchased items subject to the Company's Return Policy.
Tracking Your Order: At the time your order is shipped, you will receive a FedEx Ship Notification via email. A link is provided in this notification that you can use to track the delivery of your order. We suggest that you save this email until your order is fully received. If you do not have access to this email, you may also contact a Ski Bum Customer Service Representative at 1-302-454-9829. You can also track your order on the FedEx website. www.fedex.com
Item Availability: Most items shown on theskibum.com will be in stock and available for immediate shipment. On the occasion that an item is not available, you will be alerted on the product purchase page prior to adding that item to your cart. If you attempt to add an out-of-stock item to your cart, a message will appear at the top of the page indicating that the item you selected is not currently available for purchase. If you happen to select an out-of-stock item, please check back. The Ski Bum receives shipments from its vendors regularly and any out-of-stock item is typically filled within 7 to 10 days.
Warranty and Returns
Return Policy The Ski Bum offers a 30-day return or exchange on most products. If you are not satisfied for any reason, you may return it to us for a full refund if it is:
- New and unused
- In its original packaging
- Accompanied by a copy of the packing list provided with the original purchase
The following products may NOT be returned: - Special or Custom orders
- Merchandise that has been used
- Gift Cards
- Pre-recorded videos or DVDs that have been opened
- Items not purchased at The Ski Bum
The return must be initiated within 30 days of your receipt of the merchandise. Exceptions may apply for gift items. For your convenience, any item purchased on-line at theskibum.com can be returned to theskibum.com or to any Ski Bum retail location.
If returning to theskibum.com, you are responsible for all freight charges. However, you will be credited for shipping if the product was damaged or defective, or the wrong item was shipped. Merchandise returned C.O.D. will not be accepted.
Refunds will be credited to the original purchasing credit card account number or purchasing gift card only.
Store Return Policy The Ski Bum offers a 30-day return-exchange policy on all products unopened or unused and returned in new saleable condition. Customers must present original sales receipt for all returns and exchanges.
Returns for cash or check purchases over $100.00 will be issued a check from the Retail Support Office and mailed within 14 business days of the return. All returns are subject to The Ski Bum's approval. The Ski Bum reserves the right to refuse a return or exchange.
How to Return Merchandise You can either bring your item to any Ski Bum location or return it by using a parcel service.
Retail Store Avoid shipping charges and receive a refund or exchange more quickly by returning online orders at any Ski Bum location.
- Your packing list/receipt and credit card or gift card receipt used for purchase are required.
- Include all original packing materials, manuals and accessories with the product.
- Standard Ski Bum policies apply.
Parcel Service We recommend using UPS or insured parcel post (to enable tracking) when returning merchandise to theskibum.com. We will do our best to process your return quickly.
Refunds will be credited to the original purchasing credit card account number or purchasing gift card. For returns via parcel service, please allow 30 days after we receive your return for credit to be issued to your account. We do not exchange mailed-in returns.
Please follow these directions to return by parcel service (UPS or insured parcel service): - Include all original packing materials and carton, manuals and accessories with the product.

Credit Qualifying returns to theskibum.com will be refunded for the amount paid for the product, including any sales tax if applicable. The customer is responsible for the original freight charges and any return freight charges, except as noted below. Credit will be applied to the original purchasing credit card account number or purchasing gift card within 30 days from the time we receive your returned shipment. You will receive an exchange or refund immediately if you make a qualifying return and bring the originating credit card or gift card to a Ski Bum retail store.
Credit can only be issued if the item being returned is:
- New and unused
- In its original packaging
- Accompanied by a copy of the packing list provided with the original purchase
If your return is due to damaged or defective merchandise, or the item was shipped in error, you will be refunded your entire purchase amount, including shipping. Your return shipping will also be credited. To ensure proper credit for your return shipping, please include a copy of the shipping receipt in your return package.
Any item determined to be ineligible for credit will be documented and your options will be communicated to you via e-mail. Failure to respond to the options outlined in the timeframe documented in the e-mail will result in the items being returned to you.
Damaged or Defective Items If an item(s) reaches you that appears to have been damaged in shipping or was defective out of the box, save the shipping carton and please contact a Ski Bum customer service representative for immediate assistance.
All claims for goods damaged in shipping must be made with the carrier within 10 days of the invoice date. If you return items damaged in shipping to The Ski Bum without first contacting a Ski Bum Customer Service Representative you may lose your right to make a claim with the carrier.
Warranty Claims Most products sold by theskibum.com carry a manufacturer's warranty. Warranty claims are subject to the discretion of the original product manufacturer. Warranty information is included with many manufacturers' products, or may be found on their web sites. Should you have a problem with any item covered under a manufacturer's warranty, The Ski Bum will do its best to assist you. Due to restrictions on accepting warranty returns at theskibum.com, please contact a Ski Bum Customer Service Representative prior to returning any merchandise to theskibum.com for warranty consideration. The Ski Bum will also accept returns at any Ski Bum retail location.
Shortages Depending on the type of product ordered, some orders may ship in multiple cartons and may arrive in separate cartons on a different day. Before contacting The Ski Bum to report a shortage, please check your packing slip to verify what was shipped on the order you received. Please note that all claims for shortages must be made with the carrier within 10 days of the invoice date. Contact a Ski Bum Customer Service Representative immediately for assistance in reporting a shortage.
